Whispering Grove, a two-acre park, is open near the intersection of East G.A. Moore Parkway and Coit Road in Celina, according to a news release from Green Brick Partners and HFI Capital Management.
The park sits at the entrance of Rainwater Crossing, a 641-acre master-planned community set to include over 1,800 homes.
The specifics
Whispering Grove includes walking paths, a reflection pond and “Scout’s Tree,” a 35-foot-tall sculpture by Dallas artists Brad Oldham and Christy Coltrin.
“With Scout’s Tree, the weathered steel trunk honors the past, while the mirror-polished branches reflect the energy and promise of Rainwater Crossing’s future,” Oldham said in the release.
To celebrate Whispering Grove’s opening, Rainwater Crossing will hold a family movie night on Sept. 26, according to the release.
The event is open to the public and will feature a screening of “Zootopia 2” alongside lawn games, a bounce house, face painting and hay rides.
