Plans for Parvin Park in downtown Prosper are moving forward following commission approval.

At their Oct. 7 meeting, Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved two items tied to making improvements to Parvin Park.

The details

The existing 2.5-acre park is located at 401 E. Broadway St. Park improvements will include a small playground and picnic tables, in addition to the existing small pond and open green space.

Commissioners approved a site plan and final plat for the park, which is expected to open before the end of the year, according to the town’s website.


The downtown park is expected to cost $800,000, and a construction contract has not been awarded yet, according to Prosper’s capital improvement program website.



One more thing

The park will also include three on-street parking spaces, according to town documents.
