Owner and director Jennifer Brast offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, tumbling, pointe and fine arts preschool.
“For 20 years, we’ve worked to serve our community well, create a place where students and families feel loved and supported and provide a safe environment where students can grow,” she said. “At the end of the day, it’s about loving God, loving people, loving dance and faithfully showing up for our community year after year.”
Yard signs and T-shirts were distributed to current families as part of the celebration. Brast said that the first 20 new dancers who registered with Studio One Dance Center would receive a free recital costume.
The details
The studio now has five rooms at its North Beach Street location, its fourth address and its home since 2016. Brast said the first studio opened with two dance rooms.

She said the studio has performed at Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Studios and in New York City.
Brast added the annual production of The Nutcracker is the performance that means the most to her. Through this ballet, she said the studio has raised more than $90,000 for the nonprofit Taking Shape to support the Le Phare Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
“Knowing that something we love so much has been able to make a difference in the lives of others is incredibly meaningful to us,” Brast said. “That will always be one of the most special reminders of what dance can do when we use it to love and serve others.”
