1. Urban Seafood Company to bring oyster bar, fish market to Plano this spring
Urban Seafood Co. opened in Plano in June as part of a four-story mixed-use building at 1104 14th St., Plano. The restaurant—the creation of chef Salvatore Gisellu and Bonnie and Nathan Shea, creators of Urban Rio and Urban Crust—includes menu options from its fresh oyster bar as well as clams, lobster bakes, house-made pastas, lobster rolls and chowders.
2. Fat Shack coming soon to Plano
Fat Shack opened a new location this summer at 6205 Coit Road, Ste. 364, Plano. It is known for its signature Fat Sandwiches and late-night hours.
3. Steve Fields to bring steak, seafood lounge back to Plano
Restaurateur Steve Fields plans to open a new steak and seafood eatery in 2022 at 4900 W. Park Blvd., Plano. Fields is taking over the building most recently occupied by Brick House Tavern + Tap, which is adjacent to the same intersection his former restaurant was on.
4. New Chili's restaurant coming to Plano
A new Chili’s restaurant opened in August at 5012 W. Park Blvd., Plano. The fast-casual restaurant and bar chain offers an extensive menu of American food.
5. Crumbl Cookies to open first Plano location
Crumbl Cookies opened its new Plano location May 26 at 6100 W. Park Blvd., Ste. 150. The store offers a weekly rotating menu of fresh-baked cookies, such as Strawberry Poptart, Cosmic Brownie, Cinnamon Swirl and Muddy Buddy.
