Velvet Taco plans to open a new Plano location in the fall at 5013 W. Park Blvd. The restaurant chain serves more than 20 varieties of taco with a variety of international influences.

Cigars International super store now open in Northeast Fort Worth

A Cigars International retail store opened July 22 in Northeast Fort Worth.

The store is located at 12853 Cabela Drive, Fort Worth, near Cabela’s outdoor sports store. It is the second Cigars International retail location in Texas.

The Texas Renaissance Festival has released its health and safety guidelines for the upcoming festival season, which runs Oct. 3-Nov. 29 in Todd Mission, just north of Magnolia.

Eviction filings set to hit courts after months-long pause

Over the last seven months, roughly 10 of every 30 residential eviction cases in the courtroom of Justice of the Peace Mike Missildine, whose Precinct 3 covers much of Plano, have been delayed due to the eviction moratorium. Those cases are now beginning to move forward, and without the hurdle of a moratorium, a slew of new cases are anticipated, he said.
