The piano gallery since Dec. 1 has been at a temporary location at 641 W. Plano Parkway, Ste. 307, and will move sometime this fall to the Village at Collin Creek, 641 W. Plano Parkway, Ste. 153. This will be the company's second Texas store.

“We are trying to create a center of influence for the Plano area,” General Manager Joe Toscano said.

The new location will have music education centers, a waiting area, about 12 teaching studios, offices, a larger room for group lessons and a performance hall, Amanda Byars, sales consultant and piano teacher, said.

The performance hall is expected to sit more than 200 people. It will be used for music, dance and general arts events, Byars said.

The new music center will also have an audio-visual room, showroom for new and used pianos and a kitchen that may be used for receptions.

“[The Kawai family] means for everything to be high class [and] top quality from their pianos to their facilities,” Byars said. “We hope it will be more or less a cultural center for the North Texas area.”
