NTT Data announced this month that it has completed its acquisition of
Dell Services.
The international tech firm, whose North American headquarters is located in Granite Park in Plano, said it will expand Dell Services’ brand and IT services globally. Dell Services is a computer technology company based in Round Rock. Dell Services, which also has a campus in Plano, acquired Perot Systems in Plano in 2009.
The newly acquired business, which on an interim basis will be called NTT DATA Services, expands NTT DATA’s ability to deliver insights, solutions and outcomes that lead to tangible business results for clients.
NTT Data moved its headquarters from Boston to Dallas in 2013. In 2014, the company relocated to Granite Park, doubling its office space to 50,000 square feet. The newly combined company represents one of the industry’s most comprehensive services portfolios designed to modernize business and technology, according to a NTT Data news release.
The acquisition of Dell Services is another step toward achieving our vision of becoming a top five global IT services leader, said Toshio Iwamoto, president and CEO of NTT DATA Corporation, in the release.
“Welcoming Dell Services into NTT DATA is a milestone acquisition in our effort to partner with clients as they navigate the digital disruptions in today’s markets,” he said. “As a top 10 global business and technology services provider, we have been aggressively expanding our international business, boldly pursuing growth as a ‘Global IT Innovator.’”
