Plano residents Joel and Juliana Marius opened
Sparta Pet Palazzo June 20 at 910 W. Parker Road, Ste. 103, Plano. The cat and dog boarding facility and dog daycare was born out of the couple's petsitting business, which began about four years ago.
Sparta Pet Palazzo features 10,000 square feet of indoor space and 25,000 square feet of outdoor space for pet exercise.
The climate-controlled facility also features play rooms, security cameras, soothing music and lavender-infused oil throughout to help kill bacteria and enhance the overall calmness and wellbeing of the animals. The business can board roughly 75 dogs and 17 cats. Joel said they plan to also sell products and expand the outdoor area in the future.
Opening the new business has been a dream of theirs for years, Joel said. The couple said they focus on ensuring safety and comfort for all visiting pets.
"We're literally giving them first-class service," Joel said.
