Four Plano elementary schools are receiving new playground equipment, according to the Plano ISD.

Barksdale, Bethany, Brinker and Carlisle elementary schools will each be outfitted with two new playgrounds. Construction for each is scheduled to begin this fall with a tentative completion date next year. Each playground will take up a 5,500-square-foot space, and construction costs are estimated at $600,000. Funds from a 2022 bond, under Proposition B school renovations and safety, are being allocated toward the project.

The playgrounds will be built to the same specifications as the one at Aldridge Elementary School, which previously received new playgrounds.
