Hope's Door New Beginning relocated Hope’s Door Resale Store within Plano and reopened April 29.

The store accepts donations of the following items:
  • Clothing (women, men, and children)
  • Shoes
  • Accessories (bags, belts, jewelry)
  • Luggage
  • Books/media
  • Decorative household items/accessories
  • Full sets of kitchenware (including dishes, glassware, etc.)
  • Furniture (must be approved by management prior to the donation)
“Hope’s Door Resale Store serves a vital role for survivors who often give up everything to flee for safety,” a Hope's Door New Beginning representative said. “All proceeds generated from your purchases directly fund the free programs and solutions for survivors of domestic abuse offered by Hope’s Door New Beginning Center.”

Shelter residents utilize the nonprofit’s voucher program to get what they need at the resale store, at no charge. Remaining items are sold to the public.

The new location will allow the organization’s outreach offices and resale store to be under one roof. The store was previously located at 2129 Parker Road, Ste. 300 in Plano.

A Plano Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event is scheduled for May 20 at 5:30 p.m.
