Flower Mound will be exploring its options for regulating dockless scooters, including possibly banning them altogether.
Back in late March, police spotted a few of the Lime rental scooters at Hound Mound Dog Park. City officials said they called the company to have them removed.
Town council members discussed concerns at a strategic planning session June 21. There was talk about scooters not only being an eyesore but also a safety hazard.
“When you look at our town, where—where—are you able to ride a scooter and not be worried about getting hit by a car or an F-250?” Council Member Claudio Forest said in a video of the meeting.
Staff will present options at a future meeting.
