Closures on parts of the western portion of Main Street are scheduled the nights of July 8 and 9 to enable CoServ to replace some power poles, according to the city's communications office.

Eastbound Main Street from Teel Parkway to Legacy Drive will be closed from 9 p.m. July 8 to 5 a.m. July 9. All eastbound traffic on Main Street will be rerouted north to Teel Parkway, then east on Eldorado Parkway as an alternate route to Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway. Motorists entering Main Street from the north between Legacy and Teel will only be able to travel westbound during the closure.

From 9 p.m. July 9 to 5 a.m. July 10, the eastbound Main Street lanes will be closed from The Trails Parkway to Majestic Gardens Drive. Eastbound traffic on Main Street will be rerouted to the north half of Main Street at The Trails Parkway, continue through Teel Parkway and routes back to the southern half of Main Street at Majestic Gardens Drive.

City officials are urging motorists to use caution in the construction zone and seek alternate routes.
