Planned projects
1. Virginia Parkway and Eldorado Parkway rehabilitation
Project: Reconstruction of failing concrete panels and broken curbs along Eldorado Parkway, spanning from Ridge Road to US 75, as well as along Virginia Parkway from Stonebridge Drive to US 75. The project will also include new pavement markings and concrete joint sealants.
Update: A construction contract for the project was awarded to Garret Shields Infrastructure LLC at an April 15 McKinney City Council meeting.

Project: Construction of the remaining portion of lanes three and four of Silverado Trail on the westbound side between Kenley Drive and Burnett Drive. The project includes a bridge over Rowlett Creek as well as relocation of a 30-inch sanitary sewer line to allow for construction of the bridge.
Update: Design work for the project is about 30% complete.

3. East Virginia and Throckmorton streets infrastructure improvements
Project: Reconstruction of East Virginia Street from SH 5 to Murray Street and Throckmorton Street from Lamar Street to Louisiana Street, as well as a roundabout at the intersection of East Virginia and Throckmorton streets. The reconstruction work includes underground infrastructure, illumination, landscaping and more.
Update: Throckmorton Street and the roundabout at the intersection of the road with East Virginia Street are open to traffic. East Virginia Street remains closed from SH 5 to Main Street as construction of underground utilities and paving are underway. Detours are in place along Louisiana Street.

4. US 75 and Laud Howell Parkway traffic signal
Project: Construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of US 75 and Laud Howell Parkway.
Update: The traffic signal was activated April 15.
