Here are several street projects underway in McKinney.

1. Ridge Road connection

A project to connect Ridge Road between US 380 and Wilmeth Road is nearing completion in north McKinney. The project includes constructing a four-lane divided roadway with additional turn lanes.

This project also includes one of the four multilane roundabouts planned for city roadways. The roundabout will be located at the intersection of Ridge Road and Wilmeth Road.

2. Collin McKinney Parkway connection

Collin McKinney Parkway will soon connect between Lake Forest Drive and Hardin Boulevard. The project to construct the four-lane divided roadway is on track to be completed in early 2024. The project also includes signal improvements at the Lake Forest Drive and Hardin Boulevard intersections along Collin McKinney Parkway.

3. East Louisiana Street roundabout


East Louisiana Street is closed between the Dallas Area Rapid Transit railroad tracks just east of McDonald Street and South Murray Street. Parts of Throckmorton Street and Greenville Street are also closed near the project site. The project includes the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Louisiana Street and Greenville Street. The closure of East Louisiana Street is expected to last until late September, and the entire project is expected to be complete by early 2024. Adjacent roadways, including Green Street and Andrews Street, will also be repaved.
