Why are you running for office?

I am running because, as a mom who has experienced Denton’s programs and services firsthand, I understand how city decisions shape family life. My lived experience, community involvement and knowledge of local systems guide my commitment to compassionate, competent support for neighbors and the services families rely on.

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?

Denton faces major challenges: Managing data center growth responsibly, improving accessibility and affordability and protecting civil liberties by reassessing ALPR technologies. These issues affect daily life, public safety and long‑term sustainability, requiring thoughtful oversight and community‑centered decision‑making.

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?

My priorities, if elected, will be data center regulation shaped by community input through a City Charter amendment, stronger accessibility and affordability for all residents and protecting civil liberties by reevaluating ALPR use. Addressing these challenges with transparency and community‑centered planning will support a safer, more sustainable and inclusive Denton.

What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?

Texas must prioritize modern infrastructure, long‑term water security, strong public education, improved affordability and property‑tax relief, reliable and renewable energy systems and accessible transportation and transit. These investments are essential for supporting families, strengthening the economy and preparing the state for future growth.

Why are you running for office?

Denton needs real change. We have seen what the previous councils have given us: data centers, the stripping away of our social services and skyrocketing rents. We have heard vague promises that serve the status quo. I saw this all happen in real time and decided to step up.

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?

Our city has become unaffordable, and that is because of an oligarchy of exploitative business owners and landlords that have ruled us for far too long. We need cheaper costs of living, social services and we need to take a hard look at Denton’s history.

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?

I have four main policy points that I will focus on: regulating the towing companies that exploit renters, restoring the parks and recreation after-school program, stopping any encroachment of data centers, Krateosky facilities or Flock cameras and an investment in Black culture.

What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?

We need to focus on labor issues, issues the renters relate to, issues that respond to the will of the people of Denton and issues that repair the injustices of the past. Simply put, we have to put our working class first.

Why are you running for office?

I really care about this community. I’ve spent most of my career serving others and now I have the time and experience to give back. I want to listen to my neighbors, be a good voice for District 1 and help make Denton a place we’re proud to call home.

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?

I believe Denton’s biggest challenge is keeping up with our growth while protecting what makes this city special. We need to invest wisely in streets, infrastructure and transportation, keep Denton affordable, support local businesses, strengthen our city workforce and make thoughtful decisions today that will serve our community well tomorrow.

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?

My priorities are pretty simple: I want to take better care of District 1’s streets, sidewalks and infrastructure. I want safer roads and better transportation and to protect our neighborhoods, support our city employees and local businesses and be responsible with taxpayer dollars. Most importantly, I’ll listen and follow through.

What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?

The Legislature should focus on projects that prepare Texas for continued growth: securing reliable water supplies, strengthening the power grid, improving transportation and roads, expanding broadband and investing in infrastructure that supports communities. We need to make smart investments today that keep Texas strong, competitive and prepared for generations.
