Jae Gaskill, principal at McKinney North High School, will serve as McKinney ISD's director of career and technical education in the 2024-25 school year.

Gaskill will replace CTE Senior Director Todd Young who is retiring, according to a district news release.

The background

Gaskill has 32 years of experience in education, with 25 years spent in administrative roles. She joined MISD in 2007 as an associate principal at McKinney North High School. In 2016, Gaskill transitioned to principal of the school following former principal Jimmy Spann’s retirement, the release stated.

She was named the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Region 10 outstanding high school principal of the year in 2018. The association offers a forum for Texas principals and assistant principals to find resources and best practices in school administration.


Gaskill holds a bachelor’s degree in science from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master’s degree in education from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
