Sam Rayburn Tollway to close connector ramp at southbound US 75 on Sept. 8-9

Drivers should expect delays near the intersection of US 75 and Sam Rayburn Tollway this weekend.

The ramp from southbound US 75 to westbound SRT will be closed from Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. to Sept. 9 at 5 a.m., according to the North Texas Tollway Authority.

Signs will be placed near the intersection prior to lane closures, and law enforcement may be present to assist drivers, according to the NTTA.

To avoid the closure, drivers traveling southbound should exit US 75 at Eldorado Parkway and merge onto the tollway’s frontage road. Drivers may access the SRT at Hardin Boulevard.

The SRT is undergoing a $200 million project that will add a fourth lane in both directions along the tollway from Denton Tap Road in Lewisville to east of US 75 in McKinney.

  1. It was widely reported two years ago that the Mckinney Star Center would be having a major expansion. The ball fields were closed yet nothing from the Stars yet. Can you update the status? Thanks
