107 Roasters & Cafe announced in a May 16 social media post the business is relocating to Amarillo, Texas this summer.

Business co-owner Patrick Tate said one of the reasons for the relocation is that his mother, and business co-owner, Elaine Krazer, took a job in Amarillo.

“We also can’t find warehouse space here—we’ve been looking for five years,” Tate said.

The coffee shop menu featured coffee, frappes, energy drinks, shakes and lemonades. The business also roasts a variety of coffee beans including single-origin and blended varieties.

107 Roasters & Cafe, formerly TexaKona Coffee Roasters, opened a decade ago in McKinney, according to the post.

“This decision was a long time in the making, and we’ve done everything we can to offer McKinney and north [Dallas-Fort Worth] delicious-tasting coffee drinks and roasted beans for the past 10 years,” the company’s Facebook post states. “We have reached a point where, if we want to continue to offer the same level of quality and consistency in our products, we need to be in the right place at the right time.”

Know before you go

Prior to the business’s relocation, various events will take place including:
  • May 24, 31: Roasting tours at 11 a.m.
  • May 31: Beverage service ends, including a celebratory beverage finale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • June: Store will be open to purchase bags of coffee Fridays and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Roasting tours at 11 a.m. each Saturday
The business is slated to reopen in Amarillo in July.

“We will still ship your coffee to you, and you will still have your favorite coffees roasted by Roasters Dave, Elaine and Patrick, just with a new address,” the post states. “We are continuing to explore new ways to serve our roasted coffee online and locally in some fashion. Our online store will remain open for all your shipping needs.”
