  • An outdoor patio and grill
  • A combination pickleball and basketball court

The hotel will be developed by Krisnik Management and Development Inc. The project is still in development and has not yet broken ground, Magan said.

The hotel development company also developed the 105-room Fairfield Inn and Suites located on the opposite corner of the Hardin Boulevard and University Drive intersection. The Fairfield Inn and Suites will be the sister hotel property to the new Residence Inn by Marriott, Magan said.

The company pursued the new hotel project after noticing a trend of extended length of stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites property, which indicates a need for an extended-stay hotel in the area, Magan said.

“North McKinney is the right location for an upper scale extended stay product—we noticed a lack of up-scale extended stay hotels in the area and knew a strategic partnership with Marriott International would be the right choice,” Magan said of the new hotel in an email.
