JAC’s Burger Co.
The restaurant serves smash burgers, fresh-cut fries, hot dogs and more. JAC’s opened in the space formerly occupied by JC’s Burger House. Co-owner Amber Zamora and her husband, Jesus Zamora, were long-time employees of the burger restaurant before making the “big jump to business owners” with JAC’s, she said.
PopUp Bagels
The restaurant sells bagels by the bag along with a choice of several schmears, according to its website. Bagel types include plain, everything, poppy seed, salt and sesame. Schmears range from plain cream cheese to brown sugar cinnamon butter.
Potbelly
The sandwich shop with over 465 locations offers a variety of toasted sandwiches as well as wraps, salads, soups, macaroni and cheese, milkshakes and more, according to the company's website. The McKinney restaurant is owned and operated by franchisees Barry and Remington Burke, a father-and-son duo that also has plans to bring a total of 15 shops to North and East Texas, a company release states.
The Purrrfect Lounge
The veteran-owned and woman-owned business offers cats “a calm, home-like place to stay while their people are away,” its website states. The Purrrfect Lounge offers climate-controlled and private rooms in a variety of sizes, daily wellness checks, and various toys and climbing spaces, according to its website. Boarding services are available to be booked online beginning at $50 per day.
Valhallan Esports Training
Valhallan arenas are local hubs for gamers of all skill levels, according to the company's website. The arena offers structured coaching programs that focus on building teamwork skills like communication and collaboration in young gamers.

AC McKinney Hotel
The new 137-room hotel is now accepting room reservations, a news release states. Bookable dates for room reservations begin Nov. 15, per the release. The Marriott-brand hotel, which is now set to open mid-November, will open alongside Good & Proper Wood Fired Bistro, a restaurant on the fifth floor of AC Hotel McKinney, a representative of the project confirmed. The European-inspired hotel will offer nearly 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and multiple dining options.
Relocation
Netrio
McKinney-based IT company Netrio is expanding its headquarters and relocating to the McKinney Corporate Center 1 building in Craig Ranch. The full-service IT managed service provider is currently headquartered at 116 N. Tennessee St. in downtown McKinney; however, the company has employees in three different locations in the area, Chief Revenue Officer Mike Cromwell said. Netrio is moving 100 employees to the corporate center in Craig Ranch later this year.
