The second phase of the reconstruction of Forest Vista Drive from Morriss Road to Chancellor Drive in Flower Mound is set to start in June.

Flower Mound Town Council voted unanimously to award a $62,378 professional services agreement to ECS Southwest to provide construction materials, engineering and testing for the project as well as for the reconstruction of the Forest Vista water line, which has had ongoing maintenance issues, according to officials.

Though the town typically hosts neighborhood meetings before reconstruction begins on projects like this, that will not be possible this time due to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to town officials. However, residents will be able to reach out to the town about the project online or over the phone.

Contact information will be included on informational door hangers, which will be distributed in nearby neighborhoods before construction begins.

Total cost: $2.7 million

Funding source: town of Flower Mound
