Jim Walker continues to lead Ramesh Premkumar in the Coppell City Council Place 1 race with 61.67% of the vote. Walker has 3,340 votes while Premkumar has 2,076.

Jim Walker leads Ramesh Premkumar in the Coppell City Council Place 1 race with 64.62% of the vote, according to early results.
Walker has 2,369 votes while Premkumar has 1,297.
The Place 1 seat is held by incumbent Cliff Long, who did not seek re-election. Incumbents Don Carroll, John Jun and Mark Hill are running unopposed for Places 3, 5 and 7, respectively.
Walker is an attorney. He is currently in his third term on Coppell’s Planning & Zoning Commission. Premkumar is the founder and CEO of a Coppell-based IT enterprise. He is also a Coppell Chamber of Commerce board member.
