GDF Properties purchased Garden Park, a 115,160-square-foot retail center located along Main Street in Lewisville, from Centrium Prime Equity in early September, according to a company representative.

The company also owns Lewisville Towne Crossing, a business strip where the first Crazy King Burrito in Texas opened last year and includes other tenants such as 24 Hour Fitness, Pho Beef Noodle & Grill and Dollar Tree.

The details

The Garden Park business center's current tenants include Fitness Connection, the Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association, Main Street Salons, Precision Sports Nutrition. Fitness Connection will remain as a tenant, according to GDF staff, but it's too soon to determine the status for the other existing tenants.

“The goal is to bring in a mix of national and regional tenants that complement each other, creating a strong synergy within the retail space,” the GDF representative said. “With our experience at Lewisville Towne Crossing, we’re confident in bringing in a more cohesive tenant lineup and significantly improving the overall look and feel of the property.”

Also of note

GDF's renovation plans for the property include power washing and painting the buildings, beautifying and restriping parking areas, modernizing monument signs, updating skylights, and converting all lighting in the center to energy-efficient LED lighting. The company hopes the renovations bring in businesses that not only meet the needs of the community but also contribute to the area’s overall economic growth and development, the representative said. The work on Garden Park is set to finalize at year’s end.

“We’ve seen firsthand the growth and potential of the Lewisville area," the representative said. "This investment in Garden Park is a natural extension of our commitment to the community. We believe there’s tremendous opportunity to revitalize the property and enhance the local retail landscape."
