Thousands of voters in Coppell and Irving have cast early ballots ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5.
The early voting period began Oct. 21 and lasted through Nov. 1. With the early voting period closed, 1,159 Coppell residents and 3,100 Irving residents have already cast ballots.
Coppell and Irving are holding separate citywide elections that appear on voter ballots alongside 10 statewide constitutional amendments.
Coppell is asking voters to consider the reauthorization of a $0.25 sales tax that pays for street and sidewalk maintenance and repairs. Irving is asking voters to consider the removal of a cap on how much the city contributes to some of its employee’s pension plans.
