Jimmy Tran and Sarah Weinberg are set to enter a runoff race June 10 for the District 2 seat on the Dallas ISD board of trustees.
About 115,000 ballots were cast in Dallas County, with 11,589 counted for the District 2 race, according to the county's elections department.
Neither candidate received 50% of the vote total for the position, according to unofficial results. Tran received 4,592 or 39.62% of the vote total, and Weinberg received 4,300 or 37.1%. Opponent Kevin Malonson received 2,697 votes. Incumbent Dustin Marshall did not file for re-election.
Board members serve three-year staggered terms and are not subject to term limits, according to the DISD website.

Jimmy Tran continues to lead the race for District 2 on the Dallas ISD board of trustees. As of 11:10 p.m., 104,555 Dallas County ballots have been counted, with 312 of 366 vote centers reporting, according to the Dallas County Elections Department.
Tran has received 3,864 of the counted votes. Opponents Sarah Weinberg and Kevin Malonson have received 3,771 and 2,328 votes, respectively.

Jimmy Tran has taken the lead over Sarah Weinberg in the race for District 2 on the Dallas ISD board of trustees. As of 10:20 p.m., 87,999 Dallas County ballots had been counted, with 144 of 366 vote centers reporting, according to the Dallas County Elections Department.
Tran has received 3,762 of the counted votes. Opponents Weinberg and Kevin Malonson have received 3,703 and 2,251 votes, respectively.

Sarah Weinberg continues to lead the District 2 race for Dallas ISD board of trustees. As of 9:30 p.m., 70,580 Dallas County ballots had been counted, with 32 of 366 vote centers reported, according to the Dallas County Elections Department.
Weinberg has received 2,666 votes, or 38.6% of the vote total. Her opponents, Jimmy Tran has received 2,617 votes, and Kevin Malonson has 1,623 votes.

Polls have closed for the Dallas ISD general election, and early voting numbers are in with Sarah Weinberg leading in the District 2 race.
