Catch up with three of the latest stories coming out of the city of Keller.

1. Keller City Council denies planned 22-lot housing development

A planned 22-lot housing development in Keller was denied by City Council during a July 2 meeting by a 4-2 vote.

The item was tabled from the June 18 meeting and ultimately voted down. Council members Shannon Dubberly, Greg Will, Chris Whatley and Tag Green voted to deny a zoning change from commercial to planned development with patio homes. Mayor Pro Tem Ross McMillun and Mayor Armin Mizani were the two votes against the denial.

2. City of Keller approves beautification plan for medians on Keller Parkway/FM 1709


The entrance into the city of Keller, from Southlake, will be getting a refreshed look.

During the July 2 City Council meeting, a service agreement and construction administration service agreement with Kimley-Horn were approved for $74,000.

3. Trash pickup time moving up 1 hour in Keller

Trash service will start a little bit earlier in Keller through the summer.


Community Waste Disposal will start their operations an hour earlier—as early as 6 a.m.—starting on July 15 and throughout the rest of summer, according to a social media post the city of Keller made on July 9.
