Fort Worth officials introduced RecFW, a new app that allows residents to easily access and manage their park and recreation needs, on June 8.

According to a city news release, the app, which is available on both iOS and Android platforms, is a one-stop solution that allows residents to access several features including:
  • Membership management: Users can access their membership card for scanning at community and recreation centers, and manage their accounts.
  • Family schedules: Allows users to keep track of activities and schedules for the whole family in one place.
  • Class registration: Users can sign up for new classes at community centers and the Fort Worth Nature Center.
  • Room rentals: Allows users to check the availability of rooms and facilities for rental, including community centers, libraries, parks and athletic fields.
  • Notifications and photos: Users are updated with real-time notifications about classes and can view photos from recent activities.
The news release states that users can earn badges on the app for participating in various activities and challenges.
