Northwest ISD trustees appointed Tim Berube as the new principal of Wilson Middle School at their April 7 meeting. Berube, who currently serves as the school’s assistant principal, will succeed Dr. Laura Koehler, who will retire at the end of the school year.

An NISD news release states Berube’s career has spanned two school districts—Northwest ISD and Keller ISD—where his accomplishments include:
  • Implementing mentorship programs for students
  • Leading professional development initiatives
  • Contributing to various student and teacher support programs
Executive Director of Communications Anthony Tosie said Berube has a strong history of supporting North Texas students and staff as a teacher, counselor and assistant principal.

Berube has worked as assistant principal at Wilson for the past two years. As part of his 16-year tenure in Keller ISD, he served in the following capacities:
  • Two years as an assistant principal
  • Seven years as a counselor
  • Seven years as a teacher and coach

Berube served in the United States Navy for four years. He holds a master’s degree in counseling from Lamar University and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Texas.
