Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas in Colleyville has closed its doors, according to a lockout notice on the door.
The restaurant, which opened in Colleyville in 2005, served fajitas, enchiladas, chalupas, guacamole and more, per its website.
Brent Johnson with FIFTYONE Fifty Properties, the restaurant’s landlord, said Rio Mambo was initially locked out Aug. 27, but through negotiations, the restaurant reopened last weekend. However, because of financial struggles with California-based Xperience Restaurant Group, which acquired the restaurant in 2023, Rio Mambo was locked out again Aug. 31, Johnson said.
Along with the Colleyville restaurant, the chain’s other locations in Burleson, Weatherford and Fort Worth have also closed.
