As the fastest-growing school district in North Texas and one of the largest districts in the state, Northwest ISD is starting the 2023-24 school year by opening five new campuses.

According to a district news release, Northwest ISD has opened two replacement elementary schools, two new elementary schools and one new middle school. Throughout the fall semester, each of these new campuses will hold dedication ceremonies.

The news release states dedication events are open to the community and include guided tours of the building following a short ceremony. Upcoming dedication ceremonies include:
  • 6 p.m. Oct. 23 at Worthington Middle School, 1045 Mascot Blvd., Haslet
  • 6 p.m. Oct. 24 at Hatfield Elementary School, 936 Blackhorse Trail, Fort Worth
  • 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Carter Elementary School, 14117 Borealis Drive, Haslet
  • 6 p.m. Nov. 16 at Daniel Elementary School, 1901 Tye St., Northlake

The new Seven Hills Elementary School in Newark, which replaced the old building, was dedicated Sept. 19. According to the news release, the campus features NISD’s modernized elementary school design, including state-of-the-art learning features. Collaborative learning areas promote teamwork, while open spaces, such as the library, provide a sense of community where students of all grade levels can see their schoolmates taking part in classes and activities.
