AVX Aircraft Company has established its headquarters in North Texas, advancing the aviation industry’s footprint in the AllianceTexas development.

The details

According to a company news release, the new facility will include:
  • 14,000-square-feet of office space and 7,000-square-feet of prototyping and testing space
  • Private, secure tenant entry and direct ramp access
  • Recently renovated fixed base operation, providing upgraded facilities and convenience
The news release states a team of 40 engineers and professionals will work at the site testing unmanned aircraft systems for military and commercial applications. Company officials anticipate doubling its workforce within a year.

The backstory

AllianceTexas is a 27,000-acre master-planned development, which generated nearly $10 billion in 2023.

2024 marks the 35th anniversary for AllianceTexas and has brought an estimated cumulative $120 billion in regional economic impact, according to the annual presentation Hillwood President Mike Berry gave at a Feb. 6 Fort Worth City Council work session.


AllianceTexas is also a hub for next-generation initiatives like the Mobility Innovation Zone, an ecosystem that provides mobility visionaries the ability to scale and commercialize new technologies, according to the news release.
