New parking restrictions will prohibit parking on the north side of East Franklin Street from South Main Street to Jenkins Street in Grapevine.

Grapevine City Council approved an ordinance amendment Dec. 7 to post no-parking signs along the street. City documents cite the two-way traffic on that road cannot be accommodated when both sides of the street are occupied with parked vehicles.

Those found in violation of the ordinance will be fined in an amount not to exceed $200.
