New York Butcher Shoppe offers ready-to-go meals, fresh meat in Southlake

Co-owners Ruth and Bryson Nokes have opened their second New York Butcher Shoppe location in Southlake.

Customers can purchase a selection of fresh-cut meats, including steaks, sausages, lamb, veal and seafood. New York Butcher Shoppe also carries wagyu beef products, spice mixes, condiments, craft beer and wines.

The business also offers hot meal options six days a week, and customers can shop from several pre-made refrigerated meals.

Ruth Nokes said one thing that sets New York Butcher Shoppe apart is its commitment to customer service.

“One of the things that I'm really proud about is when I go to Google and check our reviews, they rave about our customer service,” she said. “They name our employees by name, and that is what we're trying to bring back with that traditional neighborhood butcher.”

The Southlake location will hold a grand opening event Sept. 28 that will include giveaways and meat and wine samplings. The first 50 customers will also receive a free New York strip.

The Nokeses also own the Colleyville location, which opened in August 2024.
