Update 11:30 a.m., Feb. 11: All lanes on SH 121 are now open. No lanes are closed. A section of the intersection of Highland Street and North White Chapel Boulevard is closed for the remainder of the week.

Original post: Drivers heading north on SH 121 at Bass Pro Drive will be affected by weekend road closures. Crews are working on widening the Bass Pro bridge as part of the I-635/SH 121 interchange project.

The $370 million Texas Department of Transportation project includes rebuilding and widening SH 121 north of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to accommodate new interchanges for SH 121 at I-635 and FM 2499. The Bass Pro bridge in Grapevine will also be widened to six lanes and reconstructed along with the frontage roads. The project is expected to be complete in 2022.

From 8 p.m. Feb. 8-6 a.m. Feb. 11, all lanes will close for northbound SH 121 traffic. Traffic will be detoured to Bass Pro Drive.

Then beginning Monday, Feb. 11, a section of Highland Street and North White Chapel Boulevard intersection in Southlake will close until Friday, Feb. 15.

Motorists driving from the west at this intersection will be diverted north or south onto White Chapel. Drivers coming from the north or south on White Chapel will be unable to drive east on Highland. A map is below showing the closure.
