Residents who wish to be a candidate in the May 4 general election could file for a place on the ballot beginning Jan. 16. City Council positions in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake will be on the ballot as well as board of trustees positions for Carroll and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. The deadline for candidates to file for the election is Feb. 15 and 5 p.m.
The following candidates will appear on May 4 ballots. The information is subject to change as the filing period continues.
Grapevine City Council
Council member, Place 3
Incumbent Mike Lease is not seeking re-election. After serving on the council for 12 years he said he is ready to take personal time. Leon Leal and Lemoine Wright have filed for this place on the ballot.
Council member, Place 4
Incumbent Darlene Freed is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
Colleyville City Council
Mayor
Incumbent Richard Newton is seeking re-election and will run against candidate Mark Skinner.
Council member, Place 1
Incumbent Tammy Nakamura is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
Council member, Place 2
Incumbent Bobby Lindamood is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
Southlake City Council
Council member, Place 3
Incumbent Chad Patton is seeking re-election and runs against candidate Inna Dietrich.
Council member, Place 4
Incumbent Randy Williamson will not file for re-election due to reaching the maximum term limit on the council. Other candidates that have filed for this position are Mary Grace Thoennes and Ronell Smith.
Council member, Place 5
Incumbent John Huffman is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
Carroll ISD board of trustees

Incumbent Todd Carlton is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
Board trustee, Place 7
Incumbent Dave Almand is seeking re-election and will run against candidate Kandice Kapinos.
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees

Incumbent Louie Sullins is seeking re-election and currently runs uncontested.
