Macy's department stores has debuted a new store format, Market by Macy's. The boutique shopping experience was the first store of its kind to open in the nation Feb. 6 at 321 State St., Southlake, in Southlake Town Square. Included in the store is Macy's-branded fashion in a story-telling experience, with product themes gathered together rather than by brand. Men's, women's and children's clothing is offered as well as home goods, such as decorations, furniture and plants. The market also provides a gathering space in Herald, a connected cafe that serves breakfast and lunch as well as snacks. Coffee, wine, beer and cocktails are also offered. Additionally, a new beauty shop, Getchell's Apothecary, will debut in the market, featuring skin care and beauty products. The store has flexible spacing to allow for frequent community events, which will be announced in store and on the market's website. 817-527-3700. www.marketbymacys.com
