Whistle Britches, a restaurant specializing in chicken, biscuits and beer, will open next year in a new location in Southlake Town Square. The restaurant will have a full-service, dine-in concept from celebrity chef Omar Flores, according to a Southlake Town Square news release. Menu items include chicken and waffles; French toast and buffalo chicken tacos as well as milkshakes and alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is expected to open in 2020 at 431 Grand Ave. E., Southlake, in a 4,457 square-foot space. www.whistlebritcheschicken.com

State legislators seek removal of Confederate monuments at Texas Capitol
