The Arlington-based architecture firm was awarded a contract for $300,500 for professional services for the community pool project, which includes design development, construction documents, public bidding services and construction administration services, according to city documents.
The details
During the Feb. 24 council meeting, three designs were presented and council members ultimately went with a concept that had a mixture of two choices. Option three was chosen with the preference of a double-body slide and to stay under the $2.4 million price tag, according to previous reporting.
The addition of a second body slide will be dependent on construction contract pricing, city documents stated. The remaining budget for the pool is $2.49 million, which includes $98,000 left from Phase I.

Town Manager Brandon Wright said the goal is to start construction the day after the pool closes for the 2025 season. He said a contract for construction should be to Town Council by July or August with hopes of starting work in September.
“That will give us the longest opportunity to get it done,” he said.
