The 2023 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade will begin at the intersection of Holmes Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and end at Fair Park. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free.


Lewisville residents can attend an event at the Lewisville High School Auditorium. This civic event is planned as a nonpolitical interfaith event to celebrate the ideals of King, including the elimination of all forms of prejudice, equality for all races and international peace, according to the event listing. 6 p.m. Free. 1098 W. The city of Grapevine is organizing a day of service Jan. 16 from 9-11 a.m. Projects are outdoors and volunteers younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Visit the Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department website to register to volunteer. Free. Various locations.


The Frisco Public Library put together book lists for kids and adults, at-home activities and several other online resources for residents to learn about the impact Martin Luther King Jr. had on other social activists and the world. Free. 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco.


Plano ISD invites the community to the 37th annual MLK Diversity Celebration honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. This annual celebration will showcase student talent and diversity leadership in the district's schools and community. Fort Worth

Attend the 38th annual MLK Parade and Rally in downtown Fort Worth. The event is hosted by the Greater Fort Worth Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Committee. The parade and rally will highlight community unity, the living hope of King's dream, and a commitment to justice for all humankind.
