Capriglione has held the District 98 seat since 2013. He said in a Q&A with Community Impact before the primary election in March that he is running for reelection to remove government restrictions and taxes that affect small businesses; invest in Tarrant County infrastructure; and protect Texans’ online privacy.

White ran unopposed in the Democratic primary in May. In a Q&A with Community Impact in September, White said he was running for office to help adjust state funding for local schools; fight against school vouchers; repeal the total ban on abortion; and implement a $1,000 surplus refund for taxpayers to help with inflation.
