Tarrant County early vote total falls short of 2016 count; overall turnout drops

More than 137,993 Tarrant County voters participated in early voting ahead of the March 3 primary election, with 69,508 Democratic and 68,485 Republican ballots cast between Feb. 18 and 28.





Voter turnout decreased by 2% from the 2016 presidential election. In 2016, about 139,396 out of 1,019,633 registered voters cast ballots, while this year 137,993 out of 1,019,633 registered voters cast ballots.
