The Carroll ISD board of trustees approved and received updates on several upcoming projects during its March 25 meeting. The combined costs of the projects total approximately $2.63 million. Funding for these projects is covered within the district's 2017 bond program. To increase security, Carroll ISD will be installing seven surveillance cameras at its baseball-softball complex at Carroll Senior High School. The school district will also be purchasing new audio and visual equipment, computers and smart devices for students and teachers, and two sound systems for Johnson and Carroll elementary schools. In other news, David Faltys resumed his role as CISD superintendent after spring break. Faltys took a temporary leave of absence in late 2018 to deal with a family health situation.
