On June 11, San Francisco-based Gymboree Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. As a result of the bankruptcy, the retailer is closing 350 stores, including three in Plano and one in Southlake.
Gymboree Corp. has three brands: Gymboree, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8. The company said a majority of the closures would be Gymboree and Crazy 8 stores.
The affected stores are expected to have closing sales beginning next Tuesday. The Gymboree in Frisco's Stonebriar Centre and the Crazy 8 in Grapevine Mills will not be affected by the bankruptcy.
