Seattle-based Alaska Airlines will change its bookings from Dallas Love Field to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in May.

Breaking it down

According to the company, flights after May 14 will be automatically rebooked departing from DFW Airport. Alaska Airlines flies between Dallas and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport five times a week.

“DFW is centrally located with easy access to all points across the Dallas Metroplex and allows our guests to connect beyond Dallas to cities in the Midwest and along the East Coast with our codeshare partner American Airlines,” Alaska Airlines said in a news release.

The airline currently operates out of Terminal E at DFW Airport.

The backstory

Alaska Airlines and Virgin America announced service from Dallas Love Field to Seattle, San Diego, Portland, Oregon and San Jose, California in 2017. According to the company website, only Seattle remains as an option out of Love Field.

Southwest Airlines occupies 18 of the 20 games at Dallas Love Field, according to its website, while Delta Air Lines and Alaska Airlines shares the remaining two gates.
