The road to enter Universal Kids Resort is working toward a late 2024 opening.

The gist

Universal Parkway is a six-lane road named for the 30-acre children’s theme park it will lead to. Frisco City Council members approved extending the incoming road’s name further south to Panther Creek Parkway during a March work session meeting.

Universal Parkway construction began in fall 2023. Construction costs $12.94 million and is funded by the city.

The theme park itself, which broke ground around the same time, is still on track to open in summer 2026.
