A grand opening for Frisco's newest fire station and first Public Safety Training Center is planned for September. Frisco Fire Station No. 9 opened May 24, and the police and fire departments plan to begin using the training center in the near future. Take a look inside both facilities, which are located next to each other on the southwest corner of Preston Road and Rockhill Parkway.

Frisco Fire Station No. 9

Firefighter gear hangs inside one of the laundry rooms at the new fire station.

Frisco Fire Station No. 9 has two full bays for fire engines.

Firefighter lockers are located outside of the bedrooms so resting firefighters are not disturbed.

The fire station has 12 individual bedrooms for firefighters.

Public Safety Training Center

The Public Safety Training Center will resemble components of a house, apartment and commercial building.

The Public Safety Training Center includes a stairwell for first responders to access the different levels.

A room near the top of the training center resembles a single-family home's attic.

A ladder in the training center leads to the staged attic.

Police and fire personnel will be able to train in model apartment units at the training center.
