City leaders and council members will hear updates on various city topics during council’s winter work session meetings Jan. 18-19.

Held in Room 130 at the University of North Texas’ Frisco Landing campus, located at 12995 Preston Road, the annual two-day work session offers council members to discuss upcoming city projects and what issues will most affect Frisco in the coming year.

On the agenda

The first day of meetings will begin Jan. 18 at 8 a.m. and cover a wide range of topics, including:The discussion on Grand Park is expected to cover updates to the ongoing project since council members last approved a site analysis contract in October.

The second day of meetings will be held in the same Frisco Landing location Jan. 19 at 9 a.m. and is expected to begin with a closed session council meeting.

Once council members reconvene, they are expected to discuss:The proposed Frisco Arts Complex was first brought up at council’s summer work session in June. Since then, Frisco leaders have approved a consulting contract with Theater Projects and formed a committee to tour similar-sized venues.

Council members are also expected to hold a citizen input-only meeting at 5:05 p.m. Jan. 18 in council’s chambers located at 6101 Frisco Square Blvd.
