Athletic projects

Hellas Construction will replace the track at Liberty High School this summer. The $466,650 project consists of replacing the running track base mat, structural spray and striping, per meeting documents.

Paragon Sports Constructors will work on several FISD campuses for a total of about $1.9 million, according to meeting documents.

The company has been contracted to replace the synthetic turf on the football and indoor practice fields at Centennial, Frisco and Independence high schools. Those projects will also include the installation of shock attenuation pads, which are designed to prevent concussions when athletes fall.

Paragon will also add a structural spray to the running tracks at Pearson and Trent middle schools.
