A new restaurant is making plans to move into an empty space in The Star from when the restaurant Sushi Marquee closed in early January.

Dallas-based hospitality group Rock Libations announced it would open a Musume location inside The Star in a Jan. 27 news release.

According to the release, Musume is an authentic Asian restaurant that offers sushi and sashimi made with fresh fish flown in daily from Japan as well as:
  • Small and large plate meals
  • Vegetarian and vegan dishes
  • Salads
  • Tempura
  • Tableside ramen noodles
  • Six-or-eight course Omakase curated daily
The Frisco Musume will feature the largest selection of premium sake in the North Dallas area with more than 120 labels as well as offering the region’s largest collection of Japanese whisky, multiple wine options and an Asian-inspired craft cocktail menu, according to the release.

The restaurant will be spread across 6,000 square feet and offer both indoor and outdoor seating areas “that merge Texas elements with Japanese aesthetics,” including a private Tatami room, multiple bar areas, tree installations, chiseled stonework and more. Construction is already underway at the restaurant space, according to the release.

“We are thrilled to bring Musume to Frisco and offer the greater North Dallas community an extraordinary Japanese dining experience,” said Josh Babb, co-owner of Musume and co-founder of Rock Libations, in the release. “From our fresh fish flown in daily and tableside handmade ramen to offering the most extensive selections of premium sake and Japanese whisky in the country, every detail will be crafted to provide an unforgettable culinary experience. We look forward to welcoming Frisco and its surrounding communities to dine and drink with us this summer.”
