KidZania, a family entertainment center, will make its way to Stonebriar Centre mall between Dillard’s and Nordstrom in early 2019. KidZania educates children through roleplay by allowing children to work adult jobs and earn currency. KidZania operates 24 locations worldwide and the Frisco location will be the company's U.S. debut. There are also plans for a Chicago location. “At KidZania we offer the ideal environment for kids to learn about a host of occupations and careers, all while building skills like teamwork, trust and financial responsibility,” said Keith Rubenstein, acting CEO of KidZania USA, in a news release. The KidZania model is built around “mini-cities” that allow children to roleplay in more than 100 occupations and professions from board member to baker to doctor and truck drivers.
